They are similar to gachapon, but are usually larger in scale (the same scale as standard-size Tomica), more expensive, and can be purchased in regular stores. Tomica Kuji, or Tomica Lotto, is a line of trading figures which has been releasing new sets since 2000. It was started in honor of Tomica’s 30th anniversary, and includes remakes of previously –released vehicles. Then often follow a theme. The Tomica Kuji XIII Set was released June, 2010. The toy includes ten figures of previously released Tomica, painted in new colors. The theme is vehicles from the Showa era. Each package comes with one random figure.
